Entering the world of an Actor...

Picture
Hello! My name is Chris Borden. Welcome to my website!
I have been in Hollywood since 2007 working as an actor.
I invite you to explore these pages and my world, but first a little background on me and what I've been up to:

Chris has been working as an actor his entire life. He has a wide range of experience spanning from feature and short films to commercials, voice over and print work, theatre, as well as on camera and live event hosting!

Recently, he was lucky enough to be a part of tv history while being featured on
The Jimmy Kimmel Show, as he entertained the world during the now infamous 'Power Outage' show, in which Jimmy filmed and broadcasted his entire show from his laptop computer!

In 2010 he kept busy by performing at The NEXTstage Theatre in an industry showcase! This particluar showcase created enough buzz to be extended for several weeks, bring the showcase run to almost 2 months!

In addition to performing, he has been studying the craft continuously since arriving in Hollywood. He has explored method and charcter depth with The Actor's Studio's  Tina Kudelka, learned commercial and television nuance with actor/teacher
Micheal Gier and marveled at The Art of Stillness with the great Doug Hutchison. He has also been privately tutored with Tracey and Brandy Gold of Talentworks, and Kathryn Taylor of Disney

He finished production on a highly anticipated reality show called "
Hellbent for Hollywood," airing mid-to-late 2011! "Hellbent for Hollywood" is a show where, similar to American Idol, actors compete in a series of challenges to earn a chance to launch a career. While the ultimate results can't be revealed until the show airs, what can be said is that out of thousands who auditioned, and out of the 100 who were cast, Chris finished in the top 8!

Chris' has starred in three feature length films, with a fourth and fifth in production. The first was a Lune De Loup production, called "
Vitreous Floaters" where he was the leading man. "Vitreous Floaters" won "Best Dramatic Feature" at the DIY Film Festival in Hollywood in 2010.
The second, and
most notorious to date, was a TMDFilms production called "
Different Kinds", where he starred as the gritty anti-hero.
Shortly after that, he was in the dark and twisted serial series "
Alyss." He has also been featured in a short film entitled "The Port" as an 1880s sailor docking in New Orleans, and a short called "Hollywood Homicide."

He has done almost a dozen commercials and even runway work!

In his spare time, he enjoys writing short and feature length films to put into production.

Chris has also been doing various stage productions for 10+ years. W
orks include: Tennessee Williams' Glass Menagerie, The Music Man, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Larry Shue's The Nerd.

He is most interested in pursuing acting in film, and won't stop until his goals are reached, mainly to consistently work in the film & television industry as an actor!
